My name is Vikram. The following may sound weird – I’m from a geographical location called India, by the humans, I’m not nationalistic about the country of my origin and I have developed no such feelings or liking to any other country either. I find no difference in any country or its people and I mean literally. I’m just an organism born on this planet like all other trillions of them. I’m born here to live and one day when I’m sick or old, I will die, in between those intervals, I have always loved to sing, play, listen and collect music, watch films and when I was recently watching ’Meet Joe Black’, once again, the experience made me feel like wanting to be a film maker. I’m right now doing Master’s at TU Delft University in the Netherlands.
I don’t enjoy human monumental or technological accomplishments, like Taj, Pyramids, Vianna, International Space Station, Dams, Cars. I like to travel sometimes and I want to go to places where the human intervention is least, like Patagonia, I want to see the Earth and not the deformities made by humans on it. Few such places I have already visited are the Arches National Park and Bonneville Salt Flats in the US and Pilatus in Switzerland. I wish to travel in the region of India which I have hardly done, the places next in my list are Lakshadweep and Mauritius.
I like listening to Background Scores of movies, the other reason which made me fall in love with ‘Meet Joe Black’; I can’t stop singing to Thomas Newman’s score in that movie. I find James Horner, Clint Mansell, Thomas Newman, John Williams, Vangelis, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and many other score writers as very interesting composers and I have become quite possessive about some of their works. Although I have spent a major part of my childhood learning Indian classical music, I simply don’t enjoy that style of music at all, I used to dislike it for many years and now I simply have no opinion about it. I’m grateful to my parents for having provided me with music education and my music teachers for teaching me what I enjoy the most today.
I love animals and I always wanted to have a pet in my life. I love dogs but due to many reasons I could not have one yet. But I’m eagerly waiting for that day when I can have a pet, any pet. My favorite Dinosaurs is Parasaurolophus a herbivore. It has an elongated head and it uses the cavity in it’s head to make loud sounds, a singing Dino in short!!! Thats why I decided to have my
blog picture as an abstract art form of Parasaurolophus which I drew myself and edited in Gimp
Writing blogs is new to me. I used to write a diary in my teens and it continued into my initial twenties. I gave up writing in the mid twenties, now in my 26-27th year, I felt like writing again and this time I have decided not to start writing notes about my life or be critical about the incidents in my daily life once again, simply because, since some years now the events in my life have become very predictable to me, every day, every weekend, every week and a month is more or less a repetition of a previous, I’m bored to live it once, let alone writing about it again. So, when I find that the events in my life have become unpredictable, then I may write about the newness in life once again, so until then, I will stick to some random topics. I will spend time understanding the topics to my best and then put forth my ideas in my blogs.
Your questions, praises, comments, criticism and all the other forms of approach to me are welcome. Other than obscenity everything else will be allowed as posts here.
Enjoy my blogs!!!
